Our American Flag cutting boards are truly special in the way we make them. First, the maple stars are cut out individually (all 50 of them), then we take the walnut and cut out the holes of the stars (about 1/4" deep) each maple star is glued in individually into the walnut. We then glue the walnut to an already glued portion of the stripes. A total of 5 gluing sessions. After the gluing is completed, we sanded it down creating an inlay of the stars into the wood. Making it look like the stars belong there.
All natural colors of the woods. No staining by us whatsoever. It is measured to the exact measurements of the flag based on the size. There are 50 stars and 13 stripes in our American Flag Cutting Board.
Mac Cutting Boards handcrafts all our products from our San Francisco, CA woodshop known as the DogPatch District. We source all our unused scrap hardwoods locally within the San Francisco Bay Area.
